Bookshelfd is a personal reading tracker. This page explains what information we collect and how it is used.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google to create your account. We store the books you add, your reading status, ratings, reviews, tags, and reading goals. If you choose to make your profile discoverable, your display name and username are visible to other users you interact with.
How we use it
Your data is used only to run the app: showing your library back to you, powering search and recommendations within the app, and — if you opt in — showing your reading activity to people who follow you. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third parties
We use Google for sign-in and Supabase to store your data securely. We also query Open Library and Google Books to fetch book covers and details when you add a book — no personal data is sent to them as part of that lookup.
Your data
You can edit or remove any book, review, or personal detail from within the app at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us using the details below.
